About the Event

Visalia’s first CAKE EXCHANGE is an afternoon of cake and community building.

The rules are simple: Bring a cake, take home many slice you bring in. Whether you are an amateur baker or a pro or simply just love cakes, we hope you bring a new bake, meet new friends, and sample all the sweet delights of your fellow cake lovers.

By purchasing a ticket, you agree to the following disclaimer: The cakes at this event are made in home kitchens and brought in by individual attendees, not prepared in a licensed commercial kitchen. Consumption of these cakes is at your own risk. While we encourage participants to label their cakes with ingredients and potential allergens, the event organizers, hosts, volunteers, and sponsors are not responsible or liable for any illness, allergic reactions, or other issues arising from consuming these homemade cakes. Please exercise caution and personal responsibility regarding your dietary choices.

• CAKE DOES NOT HAVE TO BE HOMEMADE. YOU CAN SUPPORT AND ORDER FROM YOUR LOCAL BAKER OR SIMPLY MAKE IT - STORE BOUGHT IS PERFECTLY FINE. JUST MAKE IT LOOK PRETTY AND BRING A CARD LISTING ALL THE INGREDIENTS

FAQ

1. What does my ticket include?
Your ticket includesa box to fill with cake slices, and complimentary 1 drink

2. Do I need to bake the cake myself?
Nope! Make or purchase a whole, uncut cake and bring it to the party. It must be at least 6 in. in diameter, 7 to 8 inches or larger is ideal.

3. Can I bring my friend just to hang out?
Unfortunately, everyone that attends must have a ticket and bring their own cake. No sharing or splitting one cake between multiple people to gain entry.

4. Can I use nuts?
If you can cake it, you can bring it. Please keep in mind there will be people with allergies so cakes with nuts will be on a separate table to avoid cross contamination. We will ask you to label your cake CLEARLY with life threatening allergens. All attendees should proceed with caution when consuming the cakes.

5. Can I bring cupcakes or bars?
No. The cake must be a whole cake.

6. How many cakes can I bring?
The more the merrier! Each attendee is required to bring at least one cake but make as many as your heart desires.

7. Will there be food or drink on site?
Besides cake there will be water and complimentary 1 flavored drink in the venue
